Awards and Recognition

The California State Assembly gave the Filipino-American Report a Certificate of Recognition for three years of community programming in the bay area.
A commendation from the Office of San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown on the occasion of Filipino-American Report's 3rd year anniversary. He congratulated the program for continuing to empower the Filipino-American community in the Bay Area.
The American Cancer Society recognized the Filipino-American Report as the first program to air a Tagalog language Public Service Announcement (PSA) on television regarding breast cancer awareness in the United States.
Recognition was received by the program for producing 15 health segments for The American Heart Association, San Francisco Division. Response to the health segments produced by the Filipino-American Report was extensive.
